Hope And Faith

This is a new kind of story;
One that didn’t have a happy ending.
There are no restarts buttons in life,
Just new beginnings.

This isn’t your average heartbreak.
Not that kind that will easily go away.
It’s a new kind that ends with a death.
It’s something people think about everyday.

There’s something in the depths of us,
Something that makes us grieve for others.
Whether it’s a death or a joy
Some parts of life we have to share with one another.

Life has its cycles and spins,
And all parts of life have an end.
It’s just saddening how it all worked out,
How it all happened.

I just hope you guys are coping well.
It was a sudden jab at the heart,
Something was taken from you.
That wasn’t meant to be taken from the start.

I truly hope you good luck.
I pray for you and your son.
Hoping to God that he’s all right
After all, they do say the innocent die young.

Maybe God has been forgiving,
Maybe he was given a second chance.
Given something that would change his soul.
Given a new life to make up for his past.

There is nothing left to write on this paper,
Nothing more I need to say.
